WHO WE ARE
Palmyra Baptist Church is a gospel-centered church located in rural Benton,KS.
The beginning of Palmyra Baptist and it's rich history can be traced back to 1875 with the same mission we hold today, serving Christ in the country. Our worship gatherings are gospel-centered with Christ-exalting songs, liturgical elements, and expository preaching. We are an independent, autonomous church.
We preach, counsel, and disciple according to both historic and contemporary confessions of faith (Apostles Creed, Nicene Creed). In addition to affirming our statements of faith, leadership of Palmyra Baptist is baptistic and complementarian.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to be a Christ-centered, Bible-treasuring church where we can mature in our faith, disciple others, serve the community, reach the unchurched, and fight shallow Christianity.
WHAT WE DO
As a church family we are seeking to glorify God in all that we do as we seek to reach out to a needy world with the glorious good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We see God's hand at work in our church family in many exciting ways, and we would love to see you and your families become more of a part of what God is doing here.
OUR COMMUNITY
Located just three miles north of highway 254 on Butler Road, we've been serving Christ and the community for more than 140 years.
ANDREW DYER
Lead Pastor
Andrew joined Palmyra Baptist Church over 20 years ago, as it is the home church of his wife. Through those formative years, while leading the youth group, God gave him the desire to preach. He was called as pastor in March of 2018.
He and his wife Holly have four young children.
[Christ] we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.
Colossians 1:28-29
